As an adoptive parent, I can appreciate your feelings on this. Our children's birthmother had a similar struggle to deal with and equally grueling choices. Making an adoption plan was the right choice for her at the time, and certainly best for the children (both were adopted at birth, almost exactly a year apart). Thank you for sticking to your plan against the opposition and doing what you knew was right for your child.
